Yesterday we gave some background on historic homes in West Virginia.
Today we will venture inside to see some of this home’s interior.
During this time of uncertainty, fear, and suffering we thought it might be an interesting and much needed break from the current news to explore some of the oldest, yet still beautiful homes in America. Survivors of many wars, epidemics, and the ravages of time, these venerable houses are restored family homes. To restore a home is to return it to its original use and character. Restoration may take time, labor, and faith, but cooperation, hope, and resolve yield amazing results.
This home, owned by several families throughout the years, has been occupied steadily since its construction, before the Revolutionary War.
Join us on our next post in which we will explore the inside of this extraordinary home.
